About our product

Astro WMS® is a market leading Warehouse Management System, “the brain of the warehouse”. The R&D team at Consafe Logistics develops the heart of the application that keeps more than 500 warehouses in 30 countries running, delivering goods to millions of customers. Being a software product company, we are always evolving our product to meet new requirements on the market and to leverage new technologies, to constantly help our customers to develop their business. At the same time, we need to keep the existing mission critical functionality running flawlessly 24x7x365 at the customer sites.

About the role

We are looking to strengthen the R&D team in Lund, Sweden with an experienced software architect. This is a central role in the organization, and you will have the possibility to drive and impact the architecture and continuous improvement to the Astro WMS® product. You will work in close collaboration with other architects, software developers and product managers.

What makes you a great candidate?

The perfect candidate will have strong technical knowledge and been involved in both architecting new solutions and transforming existing solutions to new architectures. Even though you will likely not write that much code (unless you want to), you should have done it in the past and you like to read code to find out how things really work.

We also believe that the following requirements will help you to succeed in the role:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Software Engineering or similar corresponding experience
• Proven experience as software architect
• Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, C/C++)
• Strong understanding of relational databases
• Good knowledge of UML or other modeling methods
• Ability to write architecture and design specifications
• General understanding of modern software systems (web, REST APIs, micro-services, etc.)

It will be an advantage if you also have:

• Fundamental knowledge of security
• Understanding of existing software design patterns
• Understanding of cloud services, preferably Azure Cloud or AWS
